The hilarious Thomas Lennon visits The Internet and finally takes Frank Gehry down a peg. Possibly two pegs; you’ll have to listen and judge for yourself. Also, curious doings in The Great Undiscovered Project.
The Pod F. Tompkast will be live at Largo on Saturday, October 20th. This is the kind of thing you will see there. Thanks to Liezl for the photo. Thank yourself for getting tickets.
LOS ANGELES. Tickets are flying off the e-shelves for the LIVE RECORDING of THE POD F. TOMPKAST Season Finale on Saturday, October 20th.
Come see everything live. Everything. Rambles. Sketches. Surprise guests. And the conclusion of THE GREAT UNDISCOVERED PROJECT, performed right in front of your very eyes.
LOS ANGELES! Come see EBAN SCHLETTER’SFANTASTICAL MUSICORIUM at The Trepanny House at The Steve Allen Theatre!
Tickets are available HERE. Some information about the show:
“Composer/Songwriter and Theremin virtuoso Eban Schletter (Mr. Show, SpongeBob SquarePants, Drawn Together, The Pod F. Tompkast) brings his eclectic musical world to the Trepany House stage! With his band and special guests, he will perform original songs and instrumental compositions culled from decades of making records and composing for film and television. Eban’s special guests for the August 7th show are PAUL F. TOMPKINS, GARFUNKEL & OATES (Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome), and MIKE PHIRMAN!
Eban Schletter will be backed up by a veritable super group including keyboardist Peter Adams (music director for Reanimator: The Musical, performed with Michael Penn, Tears For Fears, John Oates and many others), guitarist Todd Spahr (Cave Dogs, The Paul F. Tompkins Show, Easy To Assemble), bass player Ron Sures (himself an award-winning composer for Slings and Arrows, Rookie Blue and more, and has performed with Yma Sumac and many others) and Grammy Award winning drummer Forrest Robinson (India Arie, TLC, Angelique Kidjo, KatZen). Singers Crissy Guerrero and Tracy DeNisi (The Tribute, White Trash Wins Lotto, Witching Hour, SpongeBob SquarePants) and Daamen Krall (The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Witching Hour, The Pod F. Tompkast) will also be regular performers.”
NOTE: I will also be guesting on the final Musicorium on September 4th!
Hey, this is a pretty concise explanation of all the great stuff that Eban Schletter does. Check it out and check out all the stuff that’s in what you just checked out. CHECKOUT!
LOS ANGELES. Tuesday night.
I am out of town, but YOU should go to see EBAN SCHLETTER perform at his album release party.
Here is Eban’s original post about it, which I am frustratingly unable to reblog:
Indeed, it kills me to miss this. Eban is the greatest. His is a unique talent and I am lucky to have regular access to it. I wish like Hell hat I could see this show and celebrate his work! Please go in my stead. You will not be sorry. He deserves your admiration.
Eban Schletter has a new record coming out. I already have it because I am a Hollywood creep. If you are not one of those, you will have to buy it when it becomes available. And you should!
COME SEE ME AND EBAN RECORD A TELEVISION PILOT!
“Comedy Central’s Nightcap with Paul F. Tompkins is a humorous and interactive look at the world of popular culture as Paul and a recurring group of his funny friends offer their unique take on the most talked-about stories of the day.”
I am hosting this sumbitch and Eban is doing the music LIVE.
